Description:
Yucca baccata var. baccata occurs more widely in southeastern Utah compared to its more limited distribution in the southwestern portion of the state (as here) where its range does not extend much past eastern Washington County. Also called Banana Yucca.April 7, 1991, Zion National Park, East Temple area, Washington County, Utah, elev. approx. 5300 ft. This species is somewhat uncommon at Zion.
