CN: [Malay - Bebaru bulu], Beach hibiscus, Cottontree, Hawaiian tree hibiscus, Linden hibiscus, Mahoe, Mountain mahoe, Sea hibiscus. Native to most areas of the tropics. There are several varieties. Large showy flowers, lasting one day, often starting yellow with a deep red throat in the morning and over the course of the day, the flowers deepen to orange and finally red before they fall.
