Kardal
Description:
A flower of the climbing plant Ancistrocladus heyneanus from the single-genus family Ancistrocladaceae. Although earlier texts mention it to be a common plant in the Western Ghats, it has now become a rather rare sight. The genus Ancistrocladus has gained attention due to its medicinal properties which suggest it useful in the treatment of HIV/AIDS.
