Pale Lichen Moth
Description:
This elegant little lichen moth came to a lighted sheet in my back yard. It appears to be very fresh. I took several shots, and this one highlighted the subtle pattern on the wing the best. Wingspan about 22 mm (wing chord measured at about 10 mm).Update May 2012: This is Crambidia pallida or perhaps Crambidia uniformis--reading the discussions and perusing images at BugGuide, I'm not convinced the two can be told apart from photographs.
