Image of striped shore crab

Description:

Description: This is a common crab that really shovels its food down with both claws. It is interesting to watch them move. Note the lines easily seen on its back which give the crab its common name. Lastly, note there are only two spines behind the eye of this crab, which are important for its ID. Date: 16 March 2007, 15:30. Source: Lined Shore Crab (Pachygrapsus crassipes).
