(2019) Chocolate-tip (Clostera curtula) - Flickr - Bennyboymothman

Image of Clostera curtula Linnaeus 1758

Description:

Description: New for garden Chocolate-tip Last night was a bit cooler, a bit windier and a bit wetter compared to the previous night. Just 11 moths in the trap, but 3 new for year's and a new for garden Chocolate-tip, I was surprised that I didn't get this last year. One of the Poplar Hawk-moths didn't like being moved, as can be seen by his adopted defensive posture! The species are slowly racking up as we approach Summer which is nice. I am hoping to go out on another field trip tonight, the weather could go any way at the moment!
