Description: Catching up from last week I'm a bit behind as I have been away all week to Bath and Bristol and so these catches are from the end of last week and weekend. I didn't take my trap with me but luckily still had my net in the car and a few pots and did manage to see some lovely moths at dusk using my torch and net, including a new species for me..but i'm getting ahead of myself a bit and going back to last Friday I caught some lovely moths in the back garden with plenty of new species to be pleased about. After a warm day and a clear night which didn't drop below 14 degrees, there was a pleasing amount of moths in the trap. 3 years ago I last saw an Eyed Hawk-moth and it was great to get a lovely fresh specimen in the trap. Also a nicely marked Ingrailed Clay had me scratching my head for a moment.
