Spoon-winged lacewing (6339325621)

Description:
Description: Chasmoptera hutti has a common name of Spoon-winged lacewing. We were very excited when this lacewing fluttered onto the grass-stalk in front of me. It didn't stay long. This one was about in total 4.5cm from the tip of its head to end of its tail. Much smaller than one we found last year. One pair of its wings are modified into the stalked hindwings with subapical expansions, hence the name "spoon-winged lacewing". Explored: Nov 13, 2011 #344 Thanks everyone. Date: 13 November 2011, 15:02. Source: Spoon-winged lacewing. Author: Jean and Fred from Perth, Australia.
