Description:
Description: Hypoxis juncea, one of my favorite tiny wildflowers, punctuate the trails through the pine flatwoods at Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Little yellow stars illuminated by starlight! I have seen them listed as being in the Liliaceae and the Iridaceae but more recently they have been placed in the Hypoxidaceae family. Date: 14 September 2011, 09:07.
