Description:
Description: The Coastalplain goldenaster is the dominant wildflower now in the sandy scrub at Jonathan Dickinson State Park. It has taken over the job from the Balduina which dominated during the Fall. In the moister flatwoods, the Pityopsis is the main event. I saw a few grass pink orchids already in bloom as well. I know this looks a lot like the previous dewy Pityopsis I posted but the respective plants are as different as night and day. Date: 6 January 2012, 10:55.
