Fayod Location: Manchester, California, USA Comments: These were growing on and around a cow patty. Caps up to 5.0cm across and brown spores. I was tempted to name these Agrocybe pediades var. platysperma based on the reference in MD because the spores appeared larger than that listed for A. pediades. They were ~13.0-14.0 X 8.0-8.9 microns and truncate(germ pore). However, it was not listed in the Name Index nor in Index Fungorum although the later does list an Agrocybe platysperma.
