Sarracenia purpurea purpurea 8

Description:
Description: English: Sarracenia purpurea purpurea, arrived today, purchased from carnivorousplantnursery.com. Pitchers 1 1/2 to 2 inches (4 to 5 cm), housed with Drosera filiformis, both found in the New Jersey pine barrens. If I was a local, I'd say they grew in the trail of the Jersey Devil, the sundew springing up from his spittle, and the pitcher from his hoof prints. Maybe I'll say it even if I'm not.
