Cyanocitta cristata in my yard 2

Description:
Description: English: To my surprise when coming home from a hike I found this Blue jay "(Cyanocitta cristata)" laying in the grass in my yard. It would not fly away regardless of how close I approached. I never did try to make physical contact. After photographing all around this bird I returned outside shortly afterwards and saw it fly away seemingly fine. As I have thought back on it I don't know what he was doing but I doubt i'll get that close to a wild one again. Date: 25 July 2018, 20:12:31. Source: Own work. Author: Sixflashphoto.
