Description: English: Spiked shieldbug, Picromerus bidens (Linnaeus, 1758). Common shield bug in Latvia. This example is last stage nymph, that was found in Vangaži, Rīga region. This is predatory species, that feeds on lepidopteran, beetle and other larvae, and some other elder instars. This nymph feeds on some lepidopteran larva.
