Description: Family: Amaranthaceae Distribution: A common weed in waste places, Distributed in tropics and subtropics of the world. 30-80cm tall erect tomentose herbs. Leaves 1-3.5x0.8-2cm elliptic ovate or orbicular, apiculate, base attenuate, Flowers 1-2mm long grenish white, in 1-1.5cm long axillary spikate clusters.Perianth calycine, membranous,5 lobed, equal wooly, stamens 5, filaments subulate connate with linear staminodes, anthers 2 celled, ovary globose, 1 celled, one ovuled,style simple, stigma capitate.
