Violets in Benhall Woods, April 2018
Description:
Description: English: From 2017 a programme of tree thinning has allowed more light to reach the woodland floor in that part of Benhall Open Space known commonly as Benhall Woods. As a result some of the seed bank in the soil has germinated. The woodland is heavily used by local people. These violets are somewhat protected from trampling by their proximity to a tree.
