Description:
Description: One of my favourite evergreens, Trochodendron has a unique quality about it - a very satisfying texture and shape. The colour in summer is all greens - from a yellowish olive green toward the stems, to a richer green on the leaves. The flowers are small and green too but well worth looking for later on. This maroon red or blackish speckling appears in the winter and, although I don't know what causes it, seems perfectly natural and healthy. Date: 19 January 2010, 12:49. Source: Trochodendron aralioides. Author: peganum from Small Dole, England.
