2010.04.24 Austria, Lower Austria, district Bruck/Leitha (broadleaf forest in rather dry and warm, continental climate: Quercus cerris the dominating species here; insect sitting on Cornus sanguinea; 220 m AMSL).ID: Originally I thought that this could be one of Arctia species, but obviously it isn't. For confirmation of ID see this discussion in German at www.naturbeobachtung.at.German name: Aurorafalter
