Typical Coltricia perennis is usually more distinctly zonate with several thin delicately colored rings. However, spore and basidia dimensions and lack of abundant setae clearly point to Coltricia perennis. Growing solitary. Pileus diameter 9 cm, stipe 2.5 cm long and 12 mm in diameter.Spores smooth, some with oil drops. Dimensions: 5,6 [6,2 ; 6,5] 7,1 x 3,3 [4 ; 4,3] 4,9 microns; Q = 1,3 [1,5 ; 1,6] 1,8; N = 30; C = 95%; Me = 6,3 x 4,1 microns; Qe = 1,5. Basidia clavate. Dimensions; 13.2 [16.9 ; 19.5] 23.2 x 4.6 [5.2 ; 5.7] 6.4 microns; Q = 2.3 [3.1 ; 3.6] 4.4; N = 15; C = 95%; Me = 18.2 x 5.5 microns; Qe = 3.3. Olympus CH20, NEA 100x/1.250, magnification 1.000 x, oil, (spores), NEA 40x/0.65, magnification 400x (basidia), in water. Hypha clamps not seen, setae absent.
