Description:
Goniochloris (go-knee-o-clore-is) a xanthophyte, this is a cyst stage. In some cases it can be seen that the cyst is formed inside a wall structure. With chlorophylls a and c, but unlike some of the other stramenopiles, xanthophytes lack fucoxanthin and so are not as yellow or brown. Red globule is storage material. Differential interference contrast.
