Description

Monoecious, evergreen trees and shrubs. Mature leaves scale-like, appressed, decussate or alternate; juvenile subulate and ± spirally arranged. Male cones small, solitary, terminal; scales in c. 6 pairs with 4 pollen-sacs at the base.
Female cones ovoid to oblong, with 4(-6) dry and woody scales. Seeds winged.
