In Panama this species was collected off the Caribbean coast (USNM E 12514; Centroid Latitude: 9.72, Centroid Longitude: -79.33) from a depth of 95 m by the R. V. Oregon, and from inside the Panama Canal on the Caribbean side (USNM 7581; Centroid Latitude: 9.5333, Centroid Longitude: -79.9083) by the R. V. Albatross, from a depth of 62 m.
