Geukensia demissa (Ribbed Mussel) is a species of mussels in the family Mytilidae. They are native to Atlantic Ocean, United States, Canada, and St. Lawrence River. Adult Ribbed Mussel form marine reefs. They are detritivores. Individuals can grow to 293 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They rely on swimming to move around.
