Head and nape dark brown; a few yellowish spots on pectoral-fin base and opercle margin; second dorsal-fin rays I-13; proportional length of interpelvic connecting membrane relative to longest pelvic-fin ray 0.46-0.55; ventral frenum present; midline of nape naked, sides scaled above midpoint between preopercle and opercle (Ref. 36348). longitudinal scale series 92-101 (Ref. 90102).
