Description: Kalanchoe tomentosa, or Panda Plant, is a native of Madagascar. It is a beautiful succulent plant with dense white felt-like hairs covering the entire leaf. Leaf tips have shallow notches that are marked brown. With great age they will reach about 18 inches (45 cm) in containers and as far as I know they are not poisonous to animals or humans. They are hardy in USDA zones 9-12. Date: 3 April 2010, 07:53. Source: Kalanchoe tomentosa. Author: Leonora Enking from West Sussex, England.
