We have had some rain and it is so wonderful. I went to check the garden and noticed this little one sitting on the daisies. It is the first time I have been able to get a reflection in a water bubble and I wasn't even trying.

Bathyllus albicinctus Spittlebug or Froghopper - AdultI think these must be the Hippopotamus of the insect world except the nymph lives in a mass of froth on a plant stem. The froth prevents the nymph from dehydration and predators. See
Save Our Waterways Now for excellent photos of the nymphs in the spittle.
