Fred noticed this native cockroach being stung by a wasp. The cockroach stopped still, arched its body as it is in the photo and sat there for some time. It looked like it was panting. These pretty young cockroaches were wandering around on the ground. There were three together having a chat when we came along. Possibly a Desmozosteria elongata. It is similar to several Anamesia species. Photo: Fred

There were multiple termites found in a house by SDSU. The Pacific Dampwood Termite was found along the window sill on the 2nd floor of the house, many of them were dead. This observation is apart of the High Tech High Insects of San Diego Field Guide.
