This one lives near a fruit bat colony, I wonder why? Not fruit bat for dinner again!!!

This juvenile made its first appearance on the 26th September. Its mother disappeared in early June to a hollow and remained out of sight until early September.

A friend of mine spotted this powerful owl with what looks like a pair of board shorts in its talons. What is he thinking? The next time I visited them the "boardies" were just hanging in the tree.
