Hypoxis hirsuta (Common Goldstar) is a species of perennial herb in the family Hypoxidaceae. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Eastern North America. They have yellow flowers and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Distichona auriceps, Sargus viridis, Wheat Stem Maggot, and Dusky-banded Forest Fly. Individuals can grow to 0.8 feet.
