Hyperolius cinereus Monard 1937

A rather small Hyperolius (males to 24 mm, females to 28 mm) from Angola. Colour in alcohol pale above and blue-grey below. Darker dorsolateral bands converge bluntly before reaching the level of the eye. Inner surfaces of femur red. Eyes large. There are no field observations on this species, recorded from some localities in Angola.

Hyperolius cinereus, Monard's reed frog or ashy reed frog, is a species of frog in the family Hyperoliidae. It is found in Angola and possibly Democratic Republic of the Congo. Its natural habitats are rivers, swamps, freshwater marshes, and intermittent freshwater marshes.
