Description

provided by AmphibiaWeb articles
A Hyperolius from the Ruwenzori area with very broad snout. Nares protruding. Female 39 mm. Only a single specimen is known. The very broad snout is different from the pointed snout in other Hyperolius. Laurent himself wonders whether this female may be an aberrant specimen of Hyperolius alticola. This account was taken from "Treefrogs of Africa" by Arne Schiøtz with kind permission from Edition Chimaira (http://www.chimaira.de/) publishers, Frankfurt am Main.
