Hyperolius xenorhinus Laurent 1972

A Hyperolius from the Ruwenzori area with very broad snout. Nares protruding. Female 39 mm. Only a single specimen is known. The very broad snout is different from the pointed snout in other Hyperolius. Only known from Mt. Teye at 1800 m, Ruwenzori, R. D. Congo.

Hyperolius xenorhinus is a species of frog in the family Hyperoliidae. It is found in Democratic Republic of the Congo and possibly Uganda. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, rivers, swamps, freshwater marshes, and intermittent freshwater marshes.
