Plants up to 50 cm tall, with small pseudubulbs. Leaves 3-4, ± sessile, sheathing, oblong to lanceolate, acuminate, up to 35 x 8 cm. Scape axillary. Inflorescence lax with minutely pubescent rachis. Flowers 2-2.5 cm across. Bracts persistent, lanceolate, shorter than pedicellate ovary, ± 10 mm long. Perianth segments greenish, spreading; sepals oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, c. 15x5 mm; petals slightly smaller. Labellum brownish-red, attached to the whole length of the column, somewhat saccate at base, 3-lobed; side lobes white, small, suborbicular; mid lobe c.10 mm long, rounded, flabellate, with erose margin; disk with 3 fleshy crenulate ridges. Column short, stout. Ovary minutely pubescent, with twisted pedicel.
