Description
provided by Flora of Zimbabwe
Epiphytic herb. Leaves 2-8, oblanceolate to obovate, leathery or slightly fleshy. Inflorescences horizontal or pendent up to 30 cm with up to 24 flowers. Flowers white, pink tinged in the spur with the lateral sepals strongly reflexed. Spur usually 6-8 cm long, curved forwards. See A. appendiculata for comparison. This species can be very variable in size. This is apparently not always related to differences in habitat, as smaller and larger plants seem to retain their sizes when grown together in cultivation (La Croix, 1997).
