Sabicea flagenioides Wernham, Monog. Sabicea 57. 1914
Shrub, the branchlets divaricate, tomentulose when young; stipules subulate-setaceous,
2-3 mm. long; leaf-blades lanceolate, about 5 cm. long and 1.5 cm. wide, acuminate, lustrous
above, sparsely puberulent along the costa, sparsely puberulent beneath along the veins,
elsewhere glabrous, the lateral veins few, obscure; flowers few, crowded and subsessile in the
axils; calyx-lobes lanceolate or narrowly triangular, acutish, about 4.5 mm. long in fruit.
Type locality: Chichankanab, Yucatan. Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
