Prosthechea aemula is a species of herb in the family orchids. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Bahia, Pará, Amazônia, SãO Paulo, Paraná, Sergipe, Caatinga, Rio De Janeiro, Mato Grosso, and Acre (Brazil).
