Plants up to 50 cm, often many together, of very variable size. Stem with 3-4 rather loose, brownish or brownish-green sheaths, glabrous below, upper portion glandular-pubescent. Inflorescence usually loose. Bracts ovate-lanceolate, as long as pedicel ± ovary. Sepals (3. 5)-4.5-(6) mm, spreading or reflexed, slightly falcate, ovate-lanceolate, greenish-brown or brown; petals linear-lanceolate, nearly as long as sepals. Labellum 10(-12) mm, ± stretched forwards, from narrow base expanded into ovate-ligulate disk, margins shortly ciliate, mid-rib thickened, dark green to pale brown, apex divided into 2 oblique-oblong, paralled or slightly diverging, c. 3 mm long lobes. Column c. 4 mm, slender, slightly incurved. Ovary elliptic, with 5-6 mm long pedicel, glandular-pubscent.
