Drassyllus callus Platnick & Shadab 1982

Drassyllus callus est une espèce d'araignées aranéomorphes de la famille des Gnaphosidae^[1].

Distribution

Cette espèce est endémique du Sonora au Mexique^[1],[2]. Elle se rencontre à Agua Caliente.

Description

La femelle holotype mesure 5,49 mm^[2].

Etimologia

Il nome proprio deriva da un'arbitraria combinazione di lettere, come indicato dallo stesso descrittore nella pubblicazione^[1]

Caratteristiche

Fa parte del mumai-group di questo genere; se ne distingue a causa dei condotti mediani dell'epigino fortemente espansi^[1]

L'olotipo femminile rinvenuto ha lunghezza totale è di 5,49mm; la lunghezza del cefalotorace è di 2,44mm; e la larghezza è di 1,92mm^[1]

Distribuzione

La specie è stata reperita in Messico: nei pressi della cittadina di Agua Caliente, nello stato della Sonora^[1]

Tassonomia

Al 2015 non sono note sottospecie e dal 1982 non sono stati esaminati nuovi esemplari^[1]

Drassyllus callus is een spinnensoort in de taxonomische indeling van de bodemjachtspinnen (Gnaphosidae).^[1] De spin jaagt 's nachts en verschuilt zich overdag onder rotsen en bladeren. Het lijf van de spin is ovaalvormig, smal en puntig aan de achterzijde.

Het dier behoort tot het geslacht Drassyllus. De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1982 door Norman I. Platnick & Shadab.
