Hypostomus waiampi^[1] is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae. It is native to South America, where it occurs in the Cupixi River in the state of Amapá in Brazil. The species reaches 19.4 cm (7.6 inches) SL and is believed to be a facultative air-breather. Its specific epithet, waiampi, refers to the Wayampi people who inhabit the Cupixi basin.^[2]

Hypostomus waiampi is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de harnasmeervallen (Loricariidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 2005 door Hollanda Carvalho & Weber.

韋氏下口鯰，為輻鰭魚綱鯰形目甲鯰科的其中一種，為熱帶淡水魚，分布於南美洲巴西Cupixi河流域，體長可達19.4公分，棲息在底層水域，生活習性不明。
