Hiraea dipholiphylla Small, sp. nov Leaf-blades narrowly oblong to oblong-lanceolate, or sometimes broadened upward, 5-8 cm. long, acutish or abruptly pointed at the apex, sparingly pubescent on both sides, shining and very finely reticulate-veined above, pale, dull and more prominently reticulateveined beneath, acute at the base, the relatively slender petioles 5-14 mm. long; flowerclusters long-peduncled, the branches elongate, the relatively stout pedicels shorter than the peduncle or its branches ; sepals oblong to ovate-oblong, 2.5-3 mm. long, obtuse, glandless ; petals yellow, the larger ones 6-9 mm. long, the blades oblong to ovate-oblong, undulate; samaras 2.5-3.5 cm. wide, the wings flabellate or cuneate-flabellate, finely pubescent, not very veiny.
Type collected near Cuernavaca, Mexico, March 19, 1899, C. G. Pringle 7730 (herb. Harvard Univ.).
Distribution : Morelos.
