If you ask politely, Ceraunus blues will show you how their male and female colors differ! The male is the one with more blue. I met this happy couple while they were playing among cowpea plants (Vigna luteola) along the edge of the waterway.
Another ceraunus blue in the little wetland at Juno Dunes (south). This one stuck it's tongue out at me in mockery of my silly point and shoot! The ground here is covered with lush growth of cow pea (Vigna luteola) and lots of partridge pea (Chamaecrista fasciculata) so blues are happy and abundant.
