Ancharius, the Vaonas, is a small genus of catfishes (order Siluriformes) of the family Anchariidae.

Ancharius has been variably placed in Mochokidae, Ariidae, and Anchariidae.^[1] They are endemic to Madagascar.

This genus currently contain two described species:^[2]
