Sakagami and Tadauchi (1995) summarize the taxonomic data on this species and include it in tables comparing morphometric measurements of some Japanese and European Lasioglossum species. This species is about 4.5 mm long and non-metallic brown and black. Its distribution is Eurosiberian (Morroco to Mongolia). Sakagami and Tadauchi (1995) speculate that this species may be a western counterpart to the Japanese L. pumilum. No information on its social or nesting biology is presented.
