Bufo porteri is a medium-sized (males to 60 mm, females to 76 mm SVL) member of the Bufo coccifer group that differs from other members, except the much larger B. ibarrai, by the sexual dimorphism of its skin (makes with rounded and females with spinous lateral tubercles. It has relatively robust cranial crests.

Incilius porteri is a species of toads in the family Bufonidae. It is endemic to the Montañas de Comayagua region, Honduras.[1][2] Its natural habitat is tropical moist montane forests. It is likely threatened by habitat loss and chytridiomycosis.[1]
