Pontosphaera discopora is a species of Haptophyta in the family Pontosphaeraceae. They are native to Bahia, Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Rio Grande Do Norte, Paraná, Rio Grande Do Sul, and Santa Catarina. Dead Pontosphaera discopora form calcareous oozes.
