This is a wide ranging species. It found from the Northwest Territories south to Mexico, and from British Columbia to New Brunswick (Fisher 1942, Bright 1987).

General Description

This is another large Chrysobothris species. Similar to C. verdigripennis in having the tips of the antennal segments tipped with yellow or orange. The clypeus is margined.

This species is known from pine, larch, fir and spruce (Fisher 1942, Bright 1987). In Alberta adults have been associated with spruce and charred jack pine.
