Myoprocta acouchy (Red Acouchi) is a species of rodents in the family Dasyproctidae. They are native to The Neotropics. They are solitary, diurnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 120 months and can grow to 362.91 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on running to move around.
