Crocidosema Zeller, 1847:721 [type-species: Crocidosema plebejana Zeller, 1847:721; by monotypy].
Parasuleima Clarke, 1965:77 [type-species: Crocidosema(?) insulana Aurivillius, 1922:267, pl. 11: fig. 20; by original designation]. [New synonym.]
After studying large samples of Crocidosema Zeller, from Rapa Island, the Marquesas Islands, Caroline Islands, Marshall Islands, and other tropical and temperate areas, I am convinced that Crocidosema(?) insulana Aurivillius, despite it's peculiarities, is a synonym of C. plebejana Zeller.
