Differs from nevermanni in large convex foliaceous crest beneath propodeal spines; foliaceous crest on ventral margin of petiole large, irregular; dorsal pilosity on gaster varies from straight to long, thin, coachwhip-like. In contrast, nevermanni has foliaceous crest beneath propodeal spines thin, concave; foliaceous crest on ventral margin of petiole thin; dorsal pilosity on gaster straight to weakly curved, never long and coachwhip-like.
