They are native to Maranhao, Distrito Federal, GoiáS, Ceará, Acre (Brazil), RondôNia, Paraná, Piauí, Mata Atlântica, Alagoas, Amazônia, Mato Grosso, Pantanal, Roraima, Rio Grande Do Norte, Mato Grosso Do Sul, The Neotropics, Bahia, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Pará, Cerrado, Pernambuco, Sergipe, Rio De Janeiro, Caatinga, Rio Grande Do Sul, Espirito Santo, ParaíBa, Amapá, and SãO Paulo. They have broad leaves and capsule fruit.
