Allocoturus: gr. αλλοκοτος allokotos – niezwykły, dziwny, od αλλος allos – inny; κοτος kotos – usposobienie; ουρα oura – ogon[7]. Gatunek typowy: Enicurus coronatus Temminck, 1822 = Turdus leschenaulti Vieillot, 1818.
